I am a huge lover of podcasts. I’ve really enjoyed listening to them recently. I have a couple of go to podcasts that I like to listen particularly in the morning time. I find podcasts are a great way to stop staring at your phone for hours on end. I like to pop a podcast on while I’m pottering around the house; ironing or cleaning. Sometimes I stick a podcast on while I am out for a walk or a run.
My favourite type of podcast is one where people are being interviewed and chat about their lives. I enjoy hearing about their day to day lives, their success stories, their struggles and how they overcame them. I get interested in the lives of each person and they inspire me. I’ve included links to each podcast at the end of each paragraph for you to check them out. The majority of them are on Acast, Spotify and Podcast Player.
The Good Glow
The Good Glow is Georgie Crawford’s podcast. The main focus of her podcast is self care. She interviews a variety of different people who have overcome struggles throughout their life. They also talk about what they do for self care and the different ways they look after themselves. I also love the intro music, it’s so upbeat and it makes me excited to listen to the podcast. Honestly this podcast is so inspiring and it leaves me feeling so grateful for my life and the people I have in it.
This is an absolutely class podcast. This podcast is so uplifting and inspiring. Fearne Cotton is a lovely presenter and she is so friendly to her guests. She speaks to her guests about their lives and what they have been through and what makes them happy. There have also been a Happy Place festival in Chiswick and there will also be a Happy Place festival in Manchester. Fearne has recorded the live interviews she did with the guests at the Happy Place Festival and they are available as podcast episodes.
Where is my mind
This podcast has been created by Niall Breslin and it’s full of interesting thinking points and lots of research about the human mind and areas such as communication and distractions. With each episode Breslin includes a meditation. He also interviews experts and specialists to verify his research and offer an insight into the message he is bringing to us.

Vicky Shilling recently started this podcast about creating a wellness blog or website. She offers tips and suggestions to start your blog or improve your existing blog as well as sharing stories about how she got started as a blogger. Vicky is also a blog coach so she has a lot of experience with helping bloggers. Desert Island Discs
This one of the most relaxing podcasts I have listened to even the voice of the presenter is soothing. Sometimes I listen to this podcast in the evenings to get me relaxed before I sleep. Some of my favourite actors have been interviewed on this podcast like Martin Freeman and David Tennant. This podcast is a great way to discover songs and singers that you haven’t heard of before. Katie Piper’s Extraordinary People
I love this podcast too. It reminds me a bit of The Good Glow. because Katie interviews a lot of inspiring people and we get to find out how they live their life. She has interviewed Zoe Sugg, Fearne Cotton and many more. Owning it: The Anxiety Podcast
I love this podcast. I It’s not one I would listen to every day as the topics covered can be quite heavy but I definitely enjoy dipping in and out of it. Caroline Foran has written two books about anxiety and the podcast follows similar topics such as self compassion, childhood anxiety and CBT. Some episodes feature different guests such as Laura Whitmore and Louise O’Neill and in other episodes Caroline discusses topics regarding anxiety and mental health that are important to her.
