I have to say I’m really enjoying writing this blog series. As I said it is my first time doing a blog series and it definitely won’t be the last! Please let me know if you are enjoying it too! I am so delighted with how many of you have been reading these posts.
I really like my bedroom. It’s one of my favourite rooms in the house other than the living room. I love the living room, it’s where the family get together to chat and watch the television. Plus, when I’m home and have some quiet time to myself I love to sit in the corner of the sofa and curl up with my book. It’s the simple things in life.
Anyway my bedroom is my space and aside from using it for sleeping and studying in I like to make it my space to relax in. I want it to be a place that I’m proud is mine and enjoy walking into. I’ve been trying to keep my room as tidy as possible so that I can know where everything is and not be stressed looking at a room full of mess!
As well as keeping my room neat and clean I like to make it as cosy and homely as possible. I want it to be a place where it is easy to unwind in. My collection of fairy lights do just that! I have ones with lots of different colours which I have hung around my bookshelf. I have another set of fairy lights in the shape of hearts which are a warm cream colour. I have another one with little snowmen and I got some more for Christmas.
One evening I sat on my bed with my book and I have to say it was so lovely to sit there and not only enjoy the book but enjoy the space around me. I had switched on the fairy lights when I came into the room and the curtains were drawn so it felt that extra bit cosy.
I was, and I will continue to have a place I can call home, a place that I cherish and enjoy being in.
What are you grateful for?
