4 fantastic things about London

Hey there,

As you know if you’ve read my last post all about my trip to London, I had an absolutely fantastic time there and really want to go back again. There were a couple of things about London that really struck me and made me more of a fan of the city. There are lots of great things about London but these four in particular really stood out for me and I wanted to share them with you!

  1. The trains are so frequent: This really surprised me. Everthing was so instant. We missed a train one of the days while we were in London and only had to wait two minutes for the next one.
  2. The buildings are amazing: I kept admiring how absolutely gorgeous the buildings in London are as we went from place to place on our travels there. They all look so well designed and made me want to know about architecture. I took lots of photographs.
  3. There is so much to see: There’s so many different things to see that you just don’t expect to see in London. This really added to the fun we had during our trip there. For instance, we were standing in the queue outside the Sherlock Holmes museum waiting to go inside and I looked across the road and there was a Beatles shop and further on down there was a music memorabilia store. One of my other favourite places to see unusual and unexpected things was in the train stations. There we listened to very talented musicians and admired the paintings that artists were selling.
  4. There are so many parks: I fell in love with the parks in London, particularly Hyde Park which was absolutely gorgeous. It was lovely to have a picnic in there in the sunshine with everyone around us having a good time. I like the fact that you can be in a bustling street and walk a few yards and you’re straight into a park and everything is so peaceful.

Have you been to London?

Until next time,

  1. I’ve been to London a few times and love going to visit my best friend who lives there. It’s such an exciting city with so much going on. I love the variety and the beautiful buildings, and you’re so right about the parks – they’re amazing! Not sure I’d like to live there but it’s so nice to visit.

  2. So glad you enjoyed your time in London so much! I don’t personally like London and never go there despite only living 20 minutes away but I don’t wanna be a negative nelly haha! The parks are lovely though 🙂 xx

  3. London really is a wonderful place! I also am a big fan of the convenience of the public transport there – if you miss a tube then most of the time you only need to wait another couple of minutes before the next one comes along, it’s fab! I love Hyde Park too, mostly for the very tame squirrels! I think they must be very used to tourists because my friend and I nearly had one eating out of our hands on our last visit! London’s architecture is wonderful, you’re right there! I love the mix of old and new, it works together so well!
